Cease and Desist is the sixth track from The Main Drag’s new 2010 record, You Are Underwater. The video was shot by Nick Ahrens in Minnesota and features shots taken at a local Minneapolis house and from a live performance by The Main Drag at Minneapolis’ Fine Line during their Summer 2009 National Tour. It was made by compiling over 500 hand-shot and processed photo frames.

Two of my good buddies also happen to be two of the best snowskaters on the planet. To kick off the 2009/2010 filming tour for Ambition Snowskates, everyone rolled through Minneapolis and I was able to ge a few shots of the guys riding.

This is the logo for Image Method, a website that I’ve built and run that features the highest quality snowskate media in the world. I’ve also contributed media to the site myself along with other great artists like the talented film maker Logan Triplett.

Sideshow Sessions

The second work I’ve done for Minneapolis-based band Tripping Icarus. This is the first album design and art I’ve done and both layout and photography are original work. Dubbed the Sideshow Sessions, this is the band’s first four song EP. It was recorded at the world-famous Pachyderm Studios (Nirvana, PJ Harvey, Andrew Bird) The band features four great guys including fellow Game Informer editor Andrew Reiner and Minnesota Vikings punter Chris Klewe. The second photo below was shot at the release show.

Tripping Icarus

This the first shirt for the band Tripping Icarus. The final art on the shirt is a darker brown. The image shown here is the original art piece which was originally slated for the Sideshow Session album cover. The piece is comprised of original photography.

Two.Zero

Completed in Sept/Oct 2009, Game Informer put both its magazine and website under the knife. Throwing out the entire deign choice for both, drastic, high-design versions were launched. These photos were for the official staff collection for the new style. It was easily one of the most enjoyable shoots I’ve ever done as snapping photos of friends is always more fun. These are just a few of the many, many shots.

Team Wood

I spent 10 years riding for Premier Snowskates and during that time, went to the X-Games twice, shot for over 10 videos and a handful of magazines. Near the end of my tenure with the board company, I was approached to create a special edition Team Wood deck and this is the result. It’s my most successful piece outside of my work at Game Informer selling tens of thousands around the world. Most recently, I auctioned off one of my last person board for the charity Childs Play.

I’m also very honored to have a good friend and amazing snowskater ride this board in Ambition Snowskate’s “True Color” as well as Jux Skate’s “Someday, Almost Everyday” documentary.
